Official says Twitter deletes about 90% of forbidden information

SOCHI, Oct 19 (PRIME) -- Social network Twitter has deleted more than 90% of forbidden information, head of the Russian communications service Andrei Lipov told reporters on Tuesday.

"This suits us so far. The sanctions we’ve applied have resulted in, as far as I remember, deleting more than 90% of forbidden information,” Lipov said.

“Little is left to purge it entirely. We are waiting, ready to discuss it with them."

He said that a meeting with the executives had not been scheduled.

Lipov added that Twitter can work in Russia if meets the Russian law.
